EmpowerAbility: Pilot Training Sessions Are Underway!

After several months of work and consultation with the stakeholders involved in the project, EmpowerAbility is entering a new phase with the launch of its pilot training sessions.

Tools designed around real needs
The training content developed over the past months builds on discussions held during the focus groups and on the needs identified by participants and professionals.
Six training modules and a guide for trainers have been developed, covering different aspects of everyday financial management:
Module 1 – Understanding Money and Basic Financial Concepts
Module 2 – Managing a Budget and Tracking Everyday Expenses
Module 3 – Banking, Payments and Secure Digital Transactions
Module 4 – Financial Safety: Recognising and Avoiding Scams and Fraud
Module 5 – Good Financial Habits: Saving, Managing Debt and Planning Finances
Module 6 – Managing Money in Everyday Life and Building Confidence
The aim is to support people living with mental health conditions or psychosocial vulnerabilities in gradually developing greater autonomy in managing their finances, while also strengthening their confidence and social inclusion.
Time to put the tools into practice!
Over the coming months, pilot training sessions will take place in France, Spain and Slovenia, running until February 2027 and involving members of the target group.
This phase will provide an opportunity to test the content and activities in real-life training settings, observe how they work in practice, and gather feedback from participants and trainers. These insights will help identify any final adjustments needed before the tools are completed.
Trainers will also be able to adapt the pace and activities according to participants’ needs and levels of knowledge, helping to create an accessible and supportive learning experience.
Thank you to everyone involved!
We would like to extend our warm thanks to all participants, professionals and partners who have contributed to the development of EmpowerAbility. Their experiences, suggestions and commitment have helped shape the project throughout its different stages.
With the launch of the pilot training sessions across the three partner countries, EmpowerAbility is now entering a practical phase of testing, learning and improvement.
We look forward to continuing this journey together on the ground until February 2027!
